Our
Story

Gloucester Family Care has worked in partnership with care experienced young people and various Local Authorities since its establishment in 2020.

We focus our care to enable children and young people to make sense of, and overcome, past experiences and trauma; we aim to establish feelings of safety and security, thus enabling them to gain independent living skills, a sense of happiness and belonging, as well as the ability to dream for the future.

Our therapeutic approach ensures that young people’s talents are embraced and celebrated, with a focus on building resilience to help overcome life challenges.

Our founding Directors wanted to ensure we could provide a safe and protective Supported Accommodation service, where young people are appropriately safeguarded from harm, whilst providing, high quality, superior and homely accommodation.

Establishing ourselves in and around Gloucester City Centre, we could promote positive opportunities for young people to engage with the local community to promote inclusion and participation.

Developing a duplicatable model of quality support from a thriving staff team, we have grown our Supported Accommodation provision steadily to offer a stable, meaningful service which encourages young people to participate in their plan towards independent living.
